Academic Program Offerings
At Mater Dei Academy, we are committed to providing a well-rounded and comprehensive education that prepares students for academic excellence, personal growth, and future career success. Our diverse academic programs cater to various interests, strengths, and career aspirations.

Special Needs Education (SNED)
At Mater Dei Academy, our Special Needs Education (SNED) Program is dedicated to ensuring that learners with special needs (LWDs) receive the education they deserve in a supportive and nurturing environment.
Our Essential Adaptive Curriculum (EAC) is thoughtfully designed to help learners with severe to profound disabilities develop vital life skills for both school and daily living. These adaptive skills include communication, self-care, home living, social interaction, self-direction, health and safety, functional academics, leisure, and work readiness.

Special Day Class (SDC)
We offer a Special Day Class (SDC) for learners with moderate to severe autism and Down syndrome. This self-contained classroom provides a highly structured setting where a dedicated special education teacher tailors instruction to each child’s unique needs. Through Curriculum Content Adaptation (CCA), we modify the K-12 curriculum to ensure meaningful learning experiences.
To further support our LWDs, the school provides teacher-developed materials, assistive devices, and advanced technologies such as Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices, empowering students to express themselves and engage in learning.
Your intervention today will shape their tomorrow!

Remedial and Tutorial Services at MDA
At MDA, we recognize that every student has unique learning needs and that some may require additional support to fully succeed in their academic journey. To ensure that all students have the opportunity to reach their full potential, the school offers Remedial and Tutorial Services designed to provide extra assistance to those who may be struggling in specific subjects or need additional help in understanding the course material.
These remedial and tutorial classes are available from Monday to Thursday and are tailored to meet the individual needs of each student. Whether a student is facing challenges in a particular subject or has been placed under academic probation due to performance concerns, our dedicated team of teachers and tutors work closely with these students to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies for academic success.
The remedial and tutorial sessions focus on reinforcing key concepts, clarifying difficult topics, and providing personalized attention to ensure that students can catch up with the curriculum and build a strong foundation for future learning. These services are especially important for students who may be struggling academically, as they offer a supportive environment where students can ask questions, revisit material, and receive guidance on how to improve their performance.
In addition to addressing academic difficulties, the program also aims to boost students’ confidence in their abilities, fostering a growth mindset and encouraging a proactive approach to learning. Whether students need help with study skills, time management, or specific subject areas, our remedial and tutorial services are designed to provide a comprehensive support system to help them succeed.
By offering these services, MDA ensures that no student is left behind and that every student has access to the tools they need to excel academically.

Quiet Time
A 2-minute daily pause for silence and meditation after the morning break. When the bell rings, everyone stops and calms down as soothing music plays. This helps students clear their minds and refocus.

Held once a month, these forums aim to expand students’ knowledge on various topics, global issues, and current events, helping them become more informed and culturally aware. Experts and multimedia presentations are used to enhance learning.
Social Action Program
This program encourages students to engage in social and civic activities, like visiting prisons, orphanages, and rehabilitation centers, to promote social responsibility and community involvement.
Family Immersion Program
High school students, guided by their CLE teachers, experience the lives of poor families to better understand social issues and develop empathy and responsibility toward the marginalized.
Family Faith Formation Sunday
This event focuses on strengthening family bonds by offering formative activities for the whole family. It helps foster love and harmony within the family while addressing the unique needs of different age groups.
Peace Day
A celebration dedicated to promoting peace. Students participate in activities that emphasize their role in fostering peace, starting with themselves and their community.
Free Dress Day
On the first Friday of each month, students can wear casual clothes, as long as they are decent and appropriate. Occasionally, the school may suggest themed dress days.
Living Rosary
The school community prays a Living Rosary together, where each person represents a bead and leads a prayer. Special intentions and symbols are included in this prayerful activity.
