Religious Instructions at MDA
As a Catholic institution, MDA is committed to fostering an environment that upholds Christian values and teachings. To this end, Christian Living/Religion is a mandatory subject for all students, regardless of their religious background. This subject plays an essential role in the holistic development of our students, encouraging not only spiritual growth but also moral and ethical development.
In line with this commitment, all students, including non-Catholics, are required to actively participate in religious activities organized by the school. These include but are not limited to, Holy Mass, the Rosary Crusade, Recollections, Stations of the Cross, retreats, prayer services, and other formative religious practices. These activities are integral parts of the school’s efforts to instill values such as compassion, faith, and service to others.

It is important to note that while we respect the diversity of faiths represented among our student body, the infusion or promotion of beliefs from other religious traditions within the school setting is not permitted. The school environment is centered around Catholic teachings, and it is essential for the integrity of the school’s religious program that this focus is maintained.
Failure to adhere to these expectations, particularly in regard to participation in religious activities or the promotion of other religious beliefs, may result in disciplinary action, including the possibility of immediate dismissal from the school. This policy ensures that MDA remains a space where the Catholic faith and values are consistently upheld and respected.
This approach reflects MDA’s dedication to providing a nurturing and faith-centered educational experience for all students while promoting respect for the religious identity and mission of the school.
